Reference & Melitensia

Besides the Lending Service, the Central Public Library disposes of a Reference library that holds a wide range of material on all subjects that can be consulted on the spot. A photocopy service is also available and copies are handed in to the customer immediately on request. Material in this section along with Encyclopedias, Atlases and Gazetteers is very selective and satisfies requests for any specific information.

The collection at the Melitensia comprises works about Malta written by co-nationals or by foreigners together with the major local newspapers. The valuable collection with a Dewey classification can be found with the other books on the online catalogue. Photocopy service is also available. The Melitensia is instrumental in offering support to students and researchers in their projects and is also available on the On-line Catalogue.
