Banca Giuratale
Law Courts cases for the years 1530 - 1899 are housed at
the Banca Giuratale in Mdina. As this repository is not opened
on a daily basis, anyone wishing to conduct research has
to phone the National Archives for an appointment. All other
court cases for the post 1900 period are still in the custody
of the Law Courts in Valletta. It is important that anyone
wishing to trace cases has to get with him/her the necessary
references, dates and any information which can lead him/her
to trace the required documents.
The Reading Room at the Banca Giuratale is open only on
request.
